Deleting Your Account

How do I delete my account? How do I close my DailyPB account? How do I remove my account? Where is the delete account option? How do I delete my profile? Can I cancel my DailyPB account?

You can delete your DailyPB account yourself from your profile. Before you do, it's worth knowing that a few smaller changes (like a new email or password) don't require deleting anything.

How to delete your account​

1 Open your profile​

Click your name in the top-right of the screen to open your profile.

2 Open Account Settings​

Open the Account Settings section.

3 Delete your account​

Click Delete DailyPB account and follow the prompt to confirm.

⚠️ Deleting is permanent

Deleting your account removes it from DailyPB. If you only want to stop getting emails or step back for a while, you may not need to delete at all, see the options below first.

🎗 Patron members: switch to free first

If you're a Patron, switch back to the free plan before you delete, because you won't be able to easily manage your membership once the account is gone. When you go to delete, DailyPB will tell you to manage your membership and give you a link to do it. See What Is a DailyPB Patron? for managing or cancelling your membership.

Maybe you don't need to delete​

How do I change my email on DailyPB? How do I update my password? How do I stop getting emails instead of deleting? How do I turn off the Weekly Court Report? How do I stop the weekly email? Do I have to delete my account to change my email? Can I just update my login instead?

The same Account Settings section has options that solve the most common reasons people think about deleting:

  • Update email and Update password, if your login details changed.
  • If you signed up with Google, you sign in with Google and can't change that email inside DailyPB, see Sign-In Help and Troubleshooting.
  • If it's about too many emails, you can adjust what you receive in your notification settings instead. See Signup Notifications and Notification Settings.
  • If you just don't want the Weekly Court Report, you can turn that off under Notifications in your profile settings, no need to delete.
