A Patron is a supporter who chips in to keep DailyPB running. DailyPB is free for players and hosts, and Patron subscriptions help cover the real costs behind it: hosting, transactional emails, Google APIs, domain registration, and text messaging. Becoming a Patron is the main way players support the platform, and it comes with a few perks.

Being a Patron unlocks several perks on top of supporting the platform:
- Gold Patron Ribbon 🎗: a gold ribbon and a Patron label appear under your name when you sign up for events, and the same gold ribbon shows on your player profile.
- Listed on the Patron Page: your name appears on the public Patron page that showcases DailyPB's supporters.
- A personal calendar: the My Calendar view that tracks everything you're attending, waitlisted for, and hosting in one place. See Finding Your Sessions.
- Text-message reminders: get your session reminders by text instead of only email. See 2 & 24 Hour Reminders and set your preference in Notification Settings.
- An expanded 25-mile search radius: find sessions farther from home than the standard radius allows. See Location and Search Radius.
- A private Patron WhatsApp group: an invite to a special group chat where Patrons help shape how DailyPB evolves.
- Local business perks: exclusive discounts and special offers from local businesses, just for being a Patron.
How to become a Patron

Visit the Patrons page and click Become a Patron to subscribe. Once you're a Patron, the ribbon and the rest of the benefits turn on for your account.
Manage, pause, or cancel your membership

When you're logged in, the Patrons page shows a link to manage your membership right on the page. From there you can update your subscription and pause or cancel it whenever you want.
Reminders work for everyone by email at no cost. Patron status is what adds the text-message option, the personal calendar, and the wider search radius on top.
